* Chestnut found her forever home with lovely people and another bunny to be friends with! Yay! *

When she was only about 4 months old, someone abandoned Chestnut next to a dumpster. Hamilton Animal Services was called and they took Chestnut in. Chestnut was spayed while she was at the shelter, but because she later developed an issue with what was thought to be blood in her urine, HAS reached out to us for help. We were happy to get Chestnut out of the shelter and into a loving foster home when one opened up. When she arrived to her foster home, it was clear Chestnut was very happy to be in a large enclosure, away from the noise and bustle of the shelter.
Chestnut had a vet visit, and it turns out what was thought to be blood, was just dark coloured urine. She was given a clean bill of health, and she’s now ready to find a forever home!

“Chestnut is a friendly, sweet girl who would thrive in a quiet home with lots of space. Chestnut loves exploring outside her enclosure and sniffing whatever new scent she comes upon. She’s curious, brave and shows no fear while socializing with her feline housemate. Chestnut gets a bit of a scare whenever the heat comes on and she’ll start thumping but she’s facing her fear. Chestnut loves fresh veggies / fruit and has enjoyed spinach, cilantro, carrots, bananas and raspberries. She isn’t a fan of cuddles, but happily accepts all the pats. Chestnut is still a young rabbit and will likely adapt well to any loving environment.”

* Chestnut has been vaccinated against Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease (RHDV).
