Bonnie
* Bonnie and Clyde found their forever home together with wonderful people! Yay! *
Bonnie and Clyde were found together as strays. They were brought to Hamilton Animal Services, but nobody came forward to claim them. They were quite a mess when they arrived. They both had long nails, dirty matted fur, rotten teeth, and Clyde has cherry eye. These poor dogs have been neglected.
We got Bonnie and Clyde out of the shelter and into the warmth and safety of a foster home. They had a much needed bath and grooming, they were both fixed, had dental surgeries, and Clyde’s eye cyst was removed. They’ve healed up now from their surgeries and they’re ready to find their forever home! Bonnie and Clyde are very bonded, so we’re asking they be adopted together. A quiet home with no small children would be best for them.
Here’s a note from their foster mom:
“These two sweeties were sprung from the joint in early January. They were both underweight, matted, and stinky. They have undergone such an amazing transformation in health and personality since their rescue. Ladybird stepped in and with the help of Dr. Stubbs, they have had their dental issues dealt with, they have been spayed and neutered and they have been given the go for adoption. After a grooming, these two sweet dogs are as adorable as ever and have really settled in a home environment. It is uncertain what their situation was prior to their rescue but, it is clear they took care of each other then and continue to do so.
Bonnie:
Bonnie is white whirlwind of cute cuddliness! She has a sweet heart shaped spot on her back and this describes her loving little heart. She has had a few litters in her short life (estimated at about 5 years) and now that she is safe, she has entered a new puppyhood! Not the chewing, pooping and chewing version but the fun, chasing, jumping, dancing, cuddling and playing pup. She loves walks, treats, playing, running, greeting, sniffing in the yard, and cuddling with her Clyde.
Clyde:
Clyde is emerging from his previous sad, scared and reactive personality to the world’s sweetest cuddlebug. He was very underweight with very little muscle when he was rescued. It seems that he did not have much exercise except to perhaps help start litters in his life (estimated 7-8 years). He has emerged from this cocoon to being a dog that loves people, laps, treats, and hugs. He is getting stronger every day and loves walks with his foster sisters and Bonnie. He has become a sweet boy that loves to just hang with his foster family looking for cuddles and nose boops.
These sweet pups get along well with cats and other dogs but would do very well in a home where they can be the center of attention and love. They are a darling, loyal pair who are made to love their people.”
