* Jackson found his forever home with wonderful people! Yay! *

Jackson was brought into Hamilton Animal Services when he was found as a stray. No owner came forward to claim Jackson, and he spent a few months at the shelter before we were finally able to take him in. Big thank you to HAS for neutering Jackson during his stay.
Jackson is very happy to be out of the small cage he was in at the shelter, and he has been given lots of space in his foster home to hop around and explore. Jackson had a vet visit, and was given the all clear! He’s now ready to find his forever home.

Here’s a note from Jackson’s foster mom:
“Jackson is a sweet, social bun. He likes to flop, sprawl out and take in his surroundings. He’s friendly and enjoys being pet, especially head scritches. Jackson likes exploring outside his enclosure and will hop up on the couch to visit. Like most rabbits, he can be shy at first. It’ll take time to gain his trust and establish a bond, treats definitely help with that! Jackson is a chill bun who will thrive in a loving forever home.”

* Jackson has been vaccinated against Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease (RHDV).

Rabbits need lots of space…

Our fostered rabbits are housed in x-pens or similar enclosures so they have lots of room to move around when they aren’t out for floor time. Some of our rabbits are free range in their foster home.
Commercially made pet store rabbit cages are far too small to allow rabbits to stretch out and move around with ease. Here are some examples of great enclosures, and rooms set up for free roaming bunnies.
