Caramel
* Caramel found his forever home with wonderful people and another bunny to be friends with! Woo hoo! *
Caramel was found as a stray and brought to Hamilton Animal Services. Nobody came forward to claim him, and when a foster home opened up, we were happy to get him out of the shelter and into a loving foster home.
He’s been a very sweet bunny since coming into our care. He loves snuggles from his foster family and he’s very friendly. We had Caramel neutered, and now he’s ready to find his forever home!
Carmel is a bit of an escape artist, and can scale even the tallest x-pen. The only pen that has been able to hold him has been a Clearly Loved Pets enclosure. It’s only been a short time he’s been in that enclosure, but it has thwarted his escape efforts so far. π
Because of his adventurous nature, Caramel would do best in a scenario where he can be free roam in a room, or an entire house. He is a bunny who wants to be part of everything that’s going on, and doesn’t want to spend even a minute away from humans. He’s almost more like a dog than a bunny. Definitely a special little rabbit!
Here’s a note from Caramel’s foster family:
“Caramel, also known as Carm, is an amazing, social and snuggly bunny! He has ears for days and beautiful eyelashes that look like extensions! He is a beautiful bunny! Carm loves to explore, and is very energetic! He loves jumping out of his cage so he can have free roam of the space and to look for others to socialize with (humans or other furry creatures!). Carm would likely be ok with a friend. Carm would do best in a home where he has free roam of the house or whole room. He loves attention and will meet you at the door/gate and climb up in hopes to get love or to be let out. Caramel is social with cats but has not been introduced to dogs. Carm LOVES watermelon rind (all pink removed), mixed greens, and fresh herbs. He is very food motivated! We are working on Caramel’s litter box training. He is litter trained when he is supervised on our main level, but seems to need training when he is contained in a pen. If you’re looking for a bunny who is social, energetic and will snuggle for long periods of time, Carm is your guy!”
* Caramel has been vaccinated against Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease (RHDV).
