Jones
* Jones found his forever home with a lovely person! Yay! *
Jones came to Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. This cute, playful boy was waiting at shelter for quite a while, and when it was posted that he was at-risk of euthanasia due to capacity issues, Ladybird worked quickly to find a foster home to help out. We were happy to give Jones a second chance.
On Jones’ rescue day, he went straight to vet for his neuter and microchipping. A comprehensive blood test revealed that Jones was FIV positive. FIV can cause immune system decline in some affected cats and other’s lead totally long, healthy lives.

Jones has been doing very well in his foster home and he’s enjoying all the attention, space to roam, snuggles and play time. He has been good with other cats and dogs in the home. Jones will play roughly when he gets overstimulated, so a home without small children would be best for him.
Here’s a note from Jones’ foster family:
“Jones is a super smart boy who would do well with other cats, a gentle dog, or a human who wants a playful and loving companion. He is very food motivated so I think he would be easily trainable for anyone who wants to teach their cat to do tricks! Otherwise, he’s a big fan of pats and the laser pointer. I don’t think he should go to a home with young children because he does nip occasionally.”
