* Debbie found her forever home with lovely people and another pig to be friends with! Woo hoo! *

Debbie came into Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. It’s more likely she was dumped by her owner. Domestic animals don’t have the survival skills that wild animals do. They often starve to death, or are killed by predators when they’re abandoned outdoors. There is always an alternative to dumping, and there are many resources available. Dumping a pet is never the answer.

Despite being abandoned, Debbie is a sweet and friendly pig. She’s loving all the space and attention she’s being given by her foster mom.
Debbie received a clean bill of health at the vet, and now she’s ready to find her forever home!

Here’s a note from Debbie’s foster mom:
“Adorable little Debbie is a bit of an attention hog and purrs the minute you touch her. While she would prefer not to be picked up, she is quite comfortable being carried around if she is securely wrapped in a blanket. Debbie currently lives with 2 noisy dogs and 3 cats. She loves lettuce, celery and cucumbers but will not touch peppers, cilantro or mint. This little Abyssinian is currently being fostered alone but would probably do well with another gentle sow.”
