* Benji has been adopted by his foster family! Woo hoo! *

On Christmas Day, Benji’s owner was taken into hospital and Benji was brought to Hamilton Animal Services. Benji’s owner would no longer be able to care for him, and no friends or relatives came forward to claim him, so shelter staff reached out to us for help. We were happy to take this sweet boy in. The shelter had been a very stressful place for Benji, and he spent a lot of time pacing his kennel looking for his owner. Poor guy must have been so confused about what was happening to him.
Benji was neutered and got a dental cleaning on his rescue day. Despite being quite thin, Benji’s blood work came back normal. A good thing!
He’s now settling in at his foster home.
Benji will eventually be available for adoption, but for now, his foster family are taking the time to allow him to decompress and recover from his ordeal.
