* Plum and Puddin’ found their forever home with lovely people! Yay! *

Plum and Puddin’ were abandoned outdoors in a small box. Thankfully someone found them and brought them to Hamilton Animal Services. We will never understand how someone can think that dumping pets in this way is okay. Dumping a pet is the cruel and cowardly way out. There are always alternatives to this, and there are many resources available. Abandoning a pet is never the answer.

That said, Plum and Puddin’ have gone from what will be the worst days of their lives, to the absolute best. We are very lucky to have an amazing foster mom step up to take in these two girls. Abby (SkinnyPigs1 on Youtube) is a guinea pig guru. She has shared her wealth of guinea pig knowledge and education for many years through her YouTube channel, where she has thousands of followers. When folks ask us for resources for anything pig related, we send them to Abby’s channel. Plum and Puddin’ hit the jackpot as far as foster homes go.

On their rescue day, Plum and Puddin’ had a vet visit and were given a clean bill of health. You can follow their time in their foster home at Abby’s YouTube channel, or by watching the videos linked below.

Plum and Puddin’ are now ready to find their forever home! Here’s a note from Abby:
“Plum and Puddin’ are 2 very bonded sisters. They get excited for veggies in the morning and love getting tidied up each night because that means a huge fresh hay pile. Puddin’ is more brave, she takes treats from your hand and wheeks for food. Plum takes a bit of time to warm up but she will get there with patience. Both girls love lap time together and are excellent for nail clippings. They enjoy having a large space for running laps and they like tunnels or hides to feel secure.”
