Darla
* Darla found her forever home with lovely people! Woot! *
Darla came into Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. She had a microchip, but when shelter staff traced the chip and called the number, the person stated that they lost Darla thirteen years ago and they assumed coyotes had gotten her. Darla’s original owner was not interested in taking her back. We’ll never know where Darla has been for those thirteen years, but if someone else had been taking care of her, that person didn’t come forward to claim her.
Darla is the sweetest girl. Very friendly with a purr that never shuts off. We got her out of the shelter and into the vet for a health check. She had a dental cleaning, and did very well in her foster home over the next few weeks. She had a follow up appointment at the vet, and was given the all clear.
Darla is now ready to find her forever home!
Here’s a note from her foster family:
“Darla is a very sweet girl who gets along well with other cats. She can be shy but will become comfortable when given time. She loves pets and getting lots of attention. Darla is playful and enjoys being around people and napping with heated blankets. She is very gentle and would be great around kids.”
