Seymour
* Seymour has been adopted by lovely people! Woot! *
Seymour found himself at Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. He was in rough shape when he arrived at the shelter. He was covered in fleas, had wounds all over his body, and his fur was patchy and sparse. We don’t know what poor Seymour has been through, but it seems life has not been kind to him so far. Nobody came forward to claim Seymour, and when a foster home opened up, we were happy to get this handsome boy out of the shelter. He was neutered and had a dental cleaning on his rescue day, and he did great for the surgery.
Seymour was initially very shy and wary of humans. But he was also sweet, accepting pets and purring. It didn’t take too long for Seymour to come out of his shell, and we’re grateful to his very patient foster mom for allowing him the time he needed to feel comfortable.
Seymour loves affection and attention. Now that he feels safe in his foster home, he will even seek out attention from visitors he has never met. He’s a very sweet guy!
Seymour has lots of energy at play time. His foster mom tells us that he will play independently when provided a variety of toys, but he also likes to have toys thrown for him, or a wand toy waved about that he can chase. At nap time, he prefers the sofa to a cat bed.
There are no dogs or other cats in his foster home, so we’re not sure how he would react to them. Because of his potential for shyness, a home without small children would be best for him.
All in all, Seymour is a fantastic cat who will be a lovely companion for the right home.
