Reba
UPDATE: July 2021
We’re so sad to say that we’ve recently said goodbye to our sweet permanent resident Reba (Callie). Your foster family showed you love and care to the very end for eight years! We are truly grateful for their ongoing support.
We will never forget you.

Because Reba was a little *ahem* “chubby” we had her blood and urine tested right after we rescued her from Hamilton Animal Control. Turns out she is diabetic. Gah!
Reba spent a few days at the vet to get all the tests she needed to sort out her blood levels. Then she was transferred to her foster home and she settled in there really well. Her foster mom is an experienced diabetic cat person, and she’s fantastic at monitoring Reba’s blood sugar to make sure she keeps healthy!
Due to her age and medical condition, the decision was made to make Reba a permanent resident. She’ll be in her permanent foster home under Ladybird’s care for the remainder of her days. She’s doing wonderfully there, and has other cats to be friends with.
