* Violet has been adopted by her foster family! Woo hoo! *

Violet came to Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. She was a matted mess when she arrived, and some of her nails were so long, they were growing into the pads of her feet. Poor girl had been badly neglected. Shelter staff cut her nails and shaved her down to help her feel better. We were happy to get this sweet dog out of shelter when a loving foster home became available.
At the vet visit on her rescue day, it was noted that Violet was overweight and is was not spayed. She needed to lose a bit of weight before she was able to be spayed, and her foster family did a great job helping her by getting her lots of exercise and keeping her on a strict diet.
When she was finally ready for the surgery, Violet did great! She had her teeth cleaned while she was under, and she recovered perfectly.
Shortly after the surgery, Violet’s foster family let us know that they wanted her to stay, so Violet has officially found her forever home!
