* Garfield found a forever home with amazing people and other pigs to be friends with. Yay! *

Garfield was found as a stray and brought to Hamilton Animal Services. He was very thin when he arrived and when shelter staff put him in his cage, he drank a ton of water. He continued to drink an excessive amount of water over the next few days. When nobody came forward to claim Garfield, shelter staff reached out to us for help. We got Garfield to the vet where he was diagnosed with a urinary infection. He was put on the medication for a couple of weeks, and thankfully, it did the trick! Garfield was given a clean bill of health at his re-check appointment, so we had him neutered so he can be paired with another pig.
Garfield is all healed from his surgery, and is ready to find his forever home! This little guy has lots of energy. He loves spending time outside his enclosure, and he has a happy spin and a popcorn for everyone he meets. He very much enjoys tunneling through his hay pile, and veggie time is his favourite time of day. This sweet guy would likely do well with another guinea pig if introduced properly.
