Garfield
Garfield was found as a stray and brought to Hamilton Animal Services. He was very thin when he arrived and when shelter staff put him in his cage, he drank a ton of water. He continued to drink an excessive amount of water over the next few days. When nobody came forward to claim Garfield, shelter staff reached out to us for help. We got Garfield to the vet where he was diagnosed with a urinary infection. He’ll be on the medication for a couple of weeks, and hopefully it will help him feel better. He’s other wise alert, eating, and happy, so our fingers are crossed that the medication will do the trick. Hopefully he will eventually be healthy enough to be neutered so he can be paired with another pig when he’s ready to be adopted.
