Christmas
We rescued Christmas from Hamilton Animal Services where she ended up as a stray. If you look closely, you can see that Christmas’ front leg is a little wonky. She gets around okay and isn’t in any pain, but it’s definitely not “normal.” The shelter had their vet check Christmas over, and they believe that the leg issue was caused by a past break that was not treated. The bones have healed now though, and no treatment or surgery is required.
When a foster home came available, we were happy to get Christmas out of the shelter, and she went to the vet before heading to her foster home. Our vet thought the same about Christmas’ leg, and they agreed that unless the leg started to cause her issue, that she didn’t need surgery. Our vet found a spay scar, so that’s a good thing. Christmas’ blood work results were great. She is healthy other than needing a dental cleaning and possibly a couple of extractions. That surgery will be scheduled for the new year. Christmas was as good as gold for her vet appointment. She purred and purred and had a head bonk for everyone she met. What a sweet girl!
Once Christmas is healed from her dental surgery, she’ll be made available for adoption.
Welcome to Ladybird, Christmas! We’re so happy you’re here!
