Sandy
We rescued Sandy from Hamilton Animal Services where he ended up as a stray. This sweet kitten is missing his back feet, just like our recently rescued kitten Amelia.
When he arrived at the shelter, Sandy’s stumps were raw and some of the skin was necrotic, so shelter staff sent Sandy to their vet to get them fixed up. Sandy was sent back to the shelter to wait out his stray time, but nobody came forward to claim him.
When a foster home opened up, we were happy to get this adorable boy out of the shelter. He’s doing well in his foster home so far, and he’ll have a follow up vet appointment soon to see how his stumps are healing. Sandy is a friendly kitten. He likes to play and cuddle with his foster family. All the things a four pawed kitten likes to do. 🙂
We hope everything goes well at his follow up appointment, so we can schedule his neuter and then find him a forever home when he’s ready.
Welcome to Ladybird, Sandy! We’re so happy you’re here!
February 5/24 UPDATE
Sandy had a vet appointment yesterday for a health check and vaccines. All the staff at the clinic fell madly in love with him. He’s such a sweet, sweet boy, how could they not! 🙂
Sandy has been doing great in his foster home. The other cats there are smitten with him, and he’s been a perfect gaming partner for his foster dad.
Sandy is scheduled to be neutered in a couple of weeks, and then he’ll be made available for adoption when he’s healed from surgery.
Way to go Sandy!
