Guinness
Notes: Guinness was rescued from Hamilton Animal Control where he ended up as a stray.
He was in very rough shape when he came into HAC. He had been badly beaten up by other cats and had many scratches and wounds.
Guinness had mostly healed by the time Ladybird rescued him from HAC, but he was still dirty and had some kind of tar or grease imbedded in his tail. Our vets did the best they could to clean up his fur a bit when they neutered him. We placed Guinness into a foster home where there was another cat, and things went well between the two of them.
Besides his loving personality, Guinness has another special quality…his extra toes! Polydactyl cats have an interesting history, and are also known as Hemingway cats, as author Ernest Hemingway owned many of these ‘extra toed’ cuties.
Guinness found his forever home after only about a month in his foster home. We’re thrilled that this amazing cat has been given the second chance at a new life that he deserves.
