Chance
One of the first Ladybird Animal Sanctuary rescue cats was this handsome boy named Chance. He had many strikes against him when he found himself stuck in a cage at Hamilton Animal Control. He was a senior cat, he was black and he had a skin condition. But we couldn’t let this poor old boy be euthanized because of those things. We rescued him and placed him into a foster home. He got the vet care he needed to help with his health issues, and not too long after, he got his second “chance” when he was adopted by a wonderful family. There were already many cats in the adopter’s home, but they wanted to offer
Chance a place to live out his days in comfort. And, he certainly did! Chance had it made in his new home. He was loved and spoiled everyday, as every cat should be. And he had lots of kitty friends for companionship.
About a year and a half after he was adopted, Chance became terminally ill, and his family had to say goodbye to him. We were sad to hear the news, but so thankful that Chance got to live out his days in a home where he was comfortable and loved unconditionally.
Thank you to Chance for being such a wonderful cat, and for making your adoptive family so happy in the short time you were with them. And thank you to Chance’s family for taking in a cat most people would consider “undesirable”, and giving him a wonderful end to his life.
