Private
Private, was rescued when he was just days old, along with his Mom Sophie and his siblings from Hamilton Animal Control. Private was named after a character from the movie Madagascar. Being born in a cage at a high kill facility is not the easiest way to begin life and unfortunately, his brother and sister ended up passing away. As an only kitten to an overly protective single parent, he is showing his independence by running, leaping, hiding, and squirming away from his mom and his foster family. Imagine you got picked up by the scruff of your neck and moved every time you were just trying to have fun and you’d run and hide as well.
If he were to describe himself he would say:
I like – leaping, running really fast on the hardwood floors (I’m built for speed), climbing, attacking, pouncing, your toes and feet
I love – food (when I stop long enough to eat), your toes and feet, when I’m sleepy and you rub my head and pet me under my chin, my mom
Being just a kitten, he enjoys attacking feet and toes and can’t help himself but try and nibble on them. He is always on the move but once he gets sleepy, he does enjoy cuddling up with a human friend for a nice nap. He is an adventurous little man, full of kitten exuberance and energy and occasionally a lick for you when he slows down enough to give you one.
