The Ladybird Animal Sanctuary rescued Amélie and Lucille from Hamilton Animal Control. They were part of the large rat rescue in November 2013. They were adopted in January 2014, but had to be returned to us in June of 2014 due to a new family member moving into the home who was allergic to them. Amélie & Lucille are a little bit shy, but they’re lovely girls once they get used to their surroundings. Amélie and Lucille would not be suitable for a home with small children.

In November 2014, Lucille developed a lump and had surgery yesterday to remove it. She recovered perfectly from her surgery and is again waiting for her forever home.
