Nibbles and her sister Nutmeg were rescued from a high-volume shelter in Laval, Quebec.

We first thought Nutmeg may be pregnant, but after xrays and an ultrasound, she was diagnosed with a large mass (tumour) in her abdomen. Surgery was possible, but our vets advised was very risky and very hard on the pig if they survive the surgery. After much discussion with the vet, it was decided that we would forgo the surgery because Nutmeg was eating and acting normally, despite her condition.

Because of her issues, we made Nutmeg and her sister Nibbles Ladybird permanent residents.

Nibbles lived happily for another 6 months before she passed away peacefully in her foster home from an unknown condition. Her sister Nutmeg lived another 10 months before also passing away peacefully.
