The Ladybird Animal Sanctuary rescued Beamer from Hamilton Animal Control where he ended up as a stray. Here’s a note from Beamer’s foster home:
“I have been fostering Beamer for approximately two months now and have really enjoyed his company. Beamer, I feel, needs to go to a forever home with a male and female owner. The female appeal of beamer is that he loves to cuddle up. If you’re laying on the couch or bed, he’ll nuzzle up tight against you and squirm around like a worm till he gets that perfect position and then generally purrs himself to sleep (petting is optional). The male appeal of Beamer is that he likes to play a little rough sometimes and bite, but in a good way.
When Beamer is bored he will try to entice you to play and this may include chasing you, bear hugging your calf and then running away or nipping your ankle and then running away all in hopes of you chasing him. Beamer also likes to play hide and seek, no kidding! If you chase him into a room and then go hide in the house, he will look for you and when he finds you, will expect you to chase him or he will chase you to the other end of the house. This can easily go on for half an hour he loves it.
Beamer also isn’t a pestering or annoying cat. If you’re busy, he gets it and leaves you alone. He likes to lie in the sills of open windows watching birds, squirrels and talking to the neighborhood cats. Beamer is not adverse to water and will occasionally play in it. His fur is as soft as a mink coat and he can put on these sad eyes like Puss in Boots does in the movie Shrek.
This guy is a great cat and I’m going to miss him when he gets his forever home.”
Upon his arrival at HAC, it was noticed that Beamer was having trouble urinating, so they sent him to the vet where his bladder was unblocked. He has been fine ever since this visit and he had a second urine test after his rescue while he was at the vet for his neuter which came back clear. He’s had no issues whatsoever since then.
Beamer found his forever home with a wonderful person!
