Ivy
We rescued Ivy from Hamilton Animal Control where she found herself as a stray. When we rescued Ivy, she was very thin and it was obvious she had suffered some neglect. She has an issue with her eye which our vet said is likely a result of scar tissue. Initial medications yielded no improvement, so our vets suggested just letting it be. Ivy may have some reduced vision but her pupil is dilating normally. It’s possible over time it will lighten, but the eye will always be a bit cloudy. It doesn’t diminish her beauty one bit though!
Here’s a note from Ivy’s foster mom:
“Ivy is a sweet kitty that loves attention. She enjoys being petted and talked to. When she’s really happy she starts to drool! She can be nervous of new things and sudden movements but usually recovers very quickly. We are working on getting her used to being picked up and also her carry case. She can sometimes be nervous when approached from her left side if caught unawares as she has old scar tissue that covers part of her eye. It otherwise doesn’t effect her vision luckily! She LOVES to play and so far really enjoys toy mice and feather wands. So far meeting with other animals has gone well, initial hissing aside. It’s very likely she could get used to a home with other cats or a well behaved dog. She spends time with her foster mom by rubbing against her legs and feet!
Likes: canned food, treats, toy mice, being talked ‘pretty’ to, rubbing against hands and feet
Dislikes: Loud noises and sudden movements”
Ivy was adopted by lovely people!
