Our dear friend, family member and avid Ladybird supporter Lela M. turned 40 on Monday August 4th, and in honour of this wonderful person, we’ve name this latest rescue after her! Happy birthday Lela M! And happy rescue day Lela kitty!

Please welcome Lela the persian cat to the Ladybird family! We rescued her from Hamilton Animal Control. She is the most loving cat, despite the horrible condition she was left in before ending up at Animal Control. Scabby, crusty skin, sparse fur, painfully thin and a mobility issue, just to name a few. These conditions needed checking out, so she spend a couple of days at the vet for tests. Xrays and blood tests showed everything was normal, and her wobbly walk was diagnosed as neurological. It certainly doesn’t sow her down!

It didn’t take long for Lela’s foster home to realize that they didn’t want to let this funny faced sweetheart go, so they have officially adopted Lela! Yay!
