Poppy
* Poppy found her forever home with lovely people! *
We rescued Poppy from Hamilton Animal Control! As you can see, she needed immediate veterinary care for and removal of her eye, so she went straight from HAC to the vet. Poppy is an affectionate and friendly girl despite her condition. We want to send a big thank you to Dr. Renee Fleming and the staff at Guelph Animal Hospital for performing Poppy’s eye surgery free of charge! This was an amazing and generous offer and we were happy to take Dr. Fleming up on it. Poppy was also spayed while she was under anesthetic and it was discovered that she had a very bad uterine infection. Poppy was put on medication for the infection and recovered perfectly at the clinic. She stayed at the clinic for a few days so the staff and vets could monitor her healing eye socket and her spay incision. Thank you again Dr. Fleming for your generosity! Poppy was transferred from the vet to her foster home and was only in her foster home for a few days before being adopted by lovely people! Yay Poppy!
