Kiwi
We rescued Sully and Kiwi from Hamilton Animal Control. They’re active and comical rats who are bonded to each other. For that reason, they must be adopted as a pair.
Here’s a note from Sully and Kiwi’s foster home:
“Kiwi was really sick and quite a bit smaller than his brother when he was first taken in but with several weeks of antibiotics and handling he is a friendly, curious, healthy little guy. He loves treats! His favourite treats include: crackers, bananas, apple, and yogurt rat treats. When we have him out of the cage to socialize, he is cuddly and often climbing on people sitting nearby. He loves his hammock and enjoys rearranging his cage and filling his hammock with paper. He has a wonderful personality and although shy at first, he is getting more and more comfortable with being held and pet.
Sully was the healthier, larger of the two brothers from the beginning and continues to thrive. He loves to climb, rearrange his cage and chill in his hammock. He comes running for treats and enjoys the following: grapes, bananas, crackers, dog treats, and apples. He is curious and beginning to enjoy being pet and held more and more each day as well. He is always very interested in what is going on outside of his cage and will defend it if our dogs are hovering too close.
Both of these rats are sweet and adorable. They would both be well suited in a home with older children who are patient and calm. They need to be fed treats on the cage floor as they seem to have the habit of snatching/nibbling at fingers if they think you have a treat. The brothers get along great and never seem to fight with one another.”
Sully and Kiwi found their forever home together!
