Bruno
Ladybird rescued Darla, Danny, Boop and Bruno from a high-kill shelter in Laval, Quebec. Danny and Darla went to one foster home and Bruno and Boop went to another. They’ve all been spayed and neutered.
Bruno and Boop took quite a while to bond during their introductions in their foster home. But they eventually became good friends, so we’d like them to be adopted as a pair. They are both lovely bunnies who don’t mind being handled. As with any rabbit though, children should be supervised while handling. Bruno has a particularly funny and sweet personality. He’s quite a character! Boop is a little shyer, but she’s also a lovely bunny. They enjoy a daily snack of a variety of things…apple, carrot, kale, romaine lettuce, celery, cucumber, broccoli and the like. And along with their pellet food, they are crazy for timothy hay! They love their time out of their enclosure and have so much fun exploring and hopping around their (rabbit proofed) foster home.
We ask that our rabbits not be housed in the types of rabbit cages they sell in pet stores. Our fostered rabbits are housed in x-pens or similar enclosures so they have lots of room to move around when they aren’t out for floor time. Commercially made pet store rabbit cages are far too small to allow rabbits to stretch out and move around with ease.
Here are some great websites outlining alternative rabbit housing using x pens and similar enclosures.
