Cotton
Rescued from Hamilton Animal Control and currently in foster care, Cotton was found as a stray. We had a home lined up for Cotton when we rescued her…but unfortunately the potential adopters changed their mind when at Cotton’s initial vet visit, it was found that she has a heart murmur. So, Cotton is again looking for her forever home. The vet couldn’t find a spay scar when they shaved Cotton’s tummy, but it doesn’t mean she isn’t possibly spayed. It was suggested that her new owners wait to see if Cotton goes into heat, then only do the spay surgery if necessary because of her heart murmur. Even with a heart murmur, Cotton can live a long, normal life. It’s just best that she isn’t put under anaesthetic unless absolutely necessary. Cotton is a quiet and gentle kitty. She is initially quite shy, but with patience and love, she will make a lovely pet for the right home. We haven’t introduced her to other cats as of yet, but we think she would probably accept the company of another cat. Cotton would love a quiet home to start her senior years in.
We’re happy to report that Cotton has been adopted and will live out her days on a beautiful equestrian farm.
