Hope
The Oakville and Milton Humane Society reached out to Ladybird when they were overwhelmed with rabbits in their shelter. We were happy to take one when we had a foster home open up….and that bunny’s name is Hope!
Here’s a note from Hope’s foster home:
“Hope is cute and soft and very outgoing. She loves people and she is very curious and loves to explore. She is a good eater but prefers to play and be pet. So far her favourite thing is the time she spends running around and stretching and playing in her xpen. So far she likes her foods but doesn’t seem extra excited about any certain items, we will keep trying. She is not at all timid and she is very eager to see new things. She will make someone a fun and loving pet.”
Hope found her forever home with awesome people! And she’ll have another bunny there to be friends with! Yay Hope!
We ask that our rabbits not be housed in the typical rabbit cages sold in pet stores. Our fostered rabbits are housed in x-pens or similar enclosures so they have lots of room to move around when they aren’t out for floor time. Commercially made pet store rabbit cages are far too small to allow rabbits to stretch out and move around with ease.
Here are some great websites outlining alternative rabbit housing using x pens and similar enclosures.
