Pepper
Ladybird rescued Pepper and her kittens, Ninja, Peaches and Fudgee-O from Hamilton Animal Control. As you can see, Pepper had an issue with her eye and it needed to be removed. She came through the surgery with flying colours.
Despite her eye issue, Pepper always has her happy feet going!
Here’s a report from her foster home:
“Pepper is a sweet girl that adore attention and pats. She loves to be talked to and does a lot of talking herself when she wants to tell you something (More food please? Let me out of this room!) She is only about a year old now so was quite a young mamma cat. While she bathes the kittens and lets them nurse (still!) she does not join in their play and is much happier in the company of people. At this time we are unsure if she will be okay with other cats/dogs. So far loud noises do not seem to bother her but she can be nervous with new people or if you try to pick her up and hold her. We have not been able to get her to jump onto the bed but she will stay in your lap if you’re sitting in a chair. Her eye no longer gives her any pain since it’s removal and the only way it affects her is a bit of a blind spot if a hand approaches her from that side which can startle her. She is happy to let you pat her for hours and will even roll over for belly rubs! We’ve recently discovered that she likes flying bird toys and toy mice!”
Pepper found her forever home with wonderful people!
