* Mango found her forever home with wonderful people!*

We rescued Mango from Hamilton Animal Control where she found herself as a stray. The staff there noticed that she was having trouble seeing, and they thought she might be completely blind. She seemed healthy and happy in every other way, so her vision issue was a mystery. We rescued Mango and took her to the vet to get checked out. The vet determined that she is not completely blind, (she doesn’t bump into things and she can follow a moving object…albeit slower than a normal cat would) and that her issue is likely developmental/neurological. She does have some signs of a neurological issue (occasional ‘high-stepping’ and wavy back end) but they are only very slight and hardly noticeable. The vet told us to wait it out, and hopefully Mango’s issues will stay the way they are and not get any worse.
