We rescued Jewel from Hamilton Animal Control where she ended up as a stray. What a little doll Jewel is! Sweet as can be and never stops purring! When she came into Hamilton Animal Control, she had severe diarrhea so she was started on some medications. Jewel was having a hard time keeping herself clean because she had been suffering from the runs for a long time, even before she came into the shelter. The staff at HAC gave her several baths, and shaved her back end because it was such a mess! All this poop business made Jewel’s bum very sore and raw. More medication! She was feeling a bit better by the time we were able to rescue her, and her poops were more solid. We took Jewel straight to the vet for a check-up, and she was put on a special food and medication to get her back to normal again. The food has done a great job and she was slowly transitioned back to a regular food while in her foster home.
