Nelly
We rescued Nelly from Hamilton Animal Control where she found herself as a stray. She’s just the sweetest girl! So cuddly and friendly.
Here’s a note from Nelly’s foster mom:
“Whoa, Nelly!
Please find it in your heart to help Nelly avoid becoming a senior kitty before her time! You can help save her from her current existence of being the only kitten in an aging animal household. You, that’s right YOU, can help her live a meaningful, kitten life before she begins to fall prey to senior ways well before her time :o) She wants to explore and have fun, the other cats want to drop and sleep.
As it is, she’s already starting to nap more than she is conscious, oh the horror. By adopting her, you will be allowing her to use her kitten energy, charm, and rambunctiousness to bring joy and smiles to your household.
Is it fair that she should reluctantly submit (metaphorically speaking of course) to a 2 piece velour jump suit, bingo, and early senior dinners at 4:30pm, and bed by 7pm? She has so much to give and so much life and love to offer but she NEEDS and another young animal pal to help bring her around.
As I type this she is lying on the table helping me type on the keyboard ;o) but the older resident cats are trying to lure her to the dark side with their lazy ways and constantly meandering and flopping down wherever to sleep.
Nooooooooo, this is not for Nelly! She is too young to jump on the seniors bus for the odd mall outing or trip to the casino. She needs youthful people and a companion.
Up until recently she had that with her foster sister Rogue but on Monday, August 31st Rogue found her forever home and now Nelly has no other young playmate. Just older, rounder, huskier (shall we say) resident cats who value snacks and naps over pouncing and bounding. Bless her she is trying to get them to move a bit quicker but they are rather set in their ways and while they do try to humour her, she really needs to have a pal close to her age again.
She misses Rogue. She looked at Rogue in the cat carrier as if to say, hey pal, what ya doing in there? Come on out and we’ll scrap and then clean each other’s’ ears and then wrassle come more, then jump in the fridge while foster mom isn’t looking and she’ll have to reach in and grab us out….oh, good times.
Nelly is so sweet with her bandit eyes, yellow eyes, pretty pink nose, and long white whiskers. She’s curious, a snuggler and likes bed time but again its better with a pal to chum around with. It would also be Nelly that would bring the bell ball to bed at 3am in the morning and hide it under the covers and then she and Rogue would play under and over the covers. She loves the tub and water and sink and water and when you are doing the dishes and water! She has a fondness for laying in the drying rack….again, good times.
She’s gentle but can be a fierce beast when wrestling with a pal but she’d never hurt a human. She is a fabulous family companion, pretty laid back and likes her cuddles when she is tired.
She will bring so much fun and love to a family that is looking for a charmer with a rascally side.
She gets along with older cats but would prefer a feline closer to her age to romp with. She was okay with a 5lb yorkie terrier that the foster family looked after for a week. It didn’t take her long to not be afraid of the mutt but she wasn’t much for the high pitch barking or when she wanted to play with the pooch but all he did was try to hump (er….mount her). She is very adaptable and will make a lovely lifelong companion.”
Nelly found her forever home with wonderful people!
