Pinky
We rescued Pinky from Hamilton Animal Control. Her owners signed her over to the shelter because they were moving. We took her to the vet for a check up, and it was discovered she had an eye infection. With love and care from our vets and her foster home, the infection has cleared up and Pinky is now ready to find her forever home!
Though she’s an “older” cat, Pinky still has lots of love to give…and she’s such a pretty girl!
Here’s a personality report from Pinky’s foster home:
“Pinky arrived in our home after being left at the shelter because her family was moving. She is 9 year old lady who of course did not take the change very well. On top of being left by her family, Pinky came to us with a bad eye infection and was not feeling very great.
But since Pinky has arrived she has been the sweetest girl. She was shy but has been coming out of her shell more and more everyday and letting her wonderful personality shine through.
In the beginning she did not handle my cat Nico or dog Finn very well. It took very slow introductions (almost two weeks before she left her foster room) and about a month total for her to start to warm up to them. Initially when Pinky went up for adoption she still was not a fan of either the cat or the dog so her page stated no cats or dogs. Boy…have things changed since then. In a short amount of time Pinky and Nico (cat) have become secret friends following each other everywhere…and their battles seemed to have turned into play fighting. Pinky still keeps her space from Finn (dog) but there have been no issues between the two. I am so happy to report that given a proper introduction and a mellow, quiet cat and/or dog who will give her time to get comfortable, I think Pinky can go to a home with a dog and/or cat!!!
Pinky is a simple gal who really does not require much other than love.
She likes Tuna for breakfast but she does not require any fancy brands and a can should last almost a week. This is something she got in her last home and should be continued in her forever home. She is a bit of a grazer when she eats so if she does go to a forever home with fur siblings they will have to be the type not to bother with her food or she will have to have somewhere separate to eat.
She enjoys spending her afternoon sunning and sleeping in the window.
Pinky LOVES catnip and toys. When she gets playing she is like a kitten. She even has a few of her favorites toys picked out to take to her forever home. Check out her video, it is the cutest thing!
Pinky is a great afternoon napping buddy and loves sitting in my lap watching tv with me.
Pinky is a beautiful cat both inside and out. She is very affectionate and loves spending time hanging out. If you are looking for a loving and affectionate older cat, then Pinky is your girl. I promise you that you will fall in love with this sweet soul.”
Pinky found her forever home with a wonderful person!
