We rescued Dudley and Dolly from Hamilton Animal Control where they found themselves as strays.

Dudley and Dolly were gaining weight and doing really well in their foster home, until Dudley suddenly became lethargic and was clearly not feeling well.  His foster mom took him to the vet and they decided to keep him at the clinic since it wasn’t obvious right away what the issue was. After some tests, it was discovered that Dudley had a blood parasite (Haemobartonella). Unfortunately, despite the vet’s best efforts, Dudley didn’t make it through the night.

Our hearts go out to Dudley’s foster mom and to Dudley’s sweet sister Dolly, who must be missing him very much right now.  Dolly will now be tested and will undergo treatment for the same parasite. We’re hopeful that because she hasn’t shown any signs of illness, that she’ll come through just fine.
