Six
We rescued Six from Hamilton Animal Control where she ended up as a stray. Animal Control received a call that a puppy had been hit by a car near Highway Six. They picked her up and took her straight to the vet where it was discovered she had a broken jaw and a fractured skull. She was still playful and acting pretty normal for a dog who had been through such trauma, so the prognosis was good for a quick recovery after surgery. Six had surgery the next day to repair the jaw and our vets advised that there was nothing much to do about the skull fracture. Because Six is so young, the skull will heal up on its own. She recovered very quickly from the surgery and was up and active shortly after waking up. She’s such a happy girl! All the staff at the vet clinic fell instantly in love with her sweet face.
After a couple of days at the vet, Six was placed into foster care and she has made herself right at home. She has a big sister foster dog to be friends with and is getting lots of love and attention from her foster family. Six had to have a second surgery at an animal dental specialist to correct her jaw issues. She did very well with this surgery, though it was much more invasive than the first. She was a trooper through the healing process and was back to her sweet self in no time. Little Six has been through a lot in her short time on this earth, and she’s handling it all like a champ!
Six loves to visit Munchies Coffee House and Barkery where she has a blast playing with all the other dogs.
Being a puppy, Six is still learning about the world. Once adopted, it would be best for her to join a puppy training class with an accredited trainer who will help her start to learn the basics.
Six found her forever home with lovely people!
