Chickadee
Ladybird rescued Chickadee from Hamilton Animal Control where she found herself as a stray. Chickadee was very sick with a severe upper respiratory virus and bowel issues when we rescued her. Despite how awful she must have be feeling, Chickadee always had her happy feet going and was a real sweetheart through her rescue and vet visit.
It took quite some time for Chickadee’s eyes to heal and for her to be big enough to be spayed, but she’s healed and happy now, and ready to find her forever home! Thanks to the folks at Guelph Animal Hospital for helping Chickadee feel better!
Here’s a report from Chickadee’s foster home:
“Timid, quiet and an inability to understand why the pesky Homo sapiens that she lives with try to pick her up, these are the first things that come to mind when someone meets Chickadee for the first time. Although relatively slow at coming out of her shell, once comfortable, Chickadee shows a side to her that unfortunately most strangers don’t get to see. One of the first things she will show is her love for food, if you are worried about forgetting to feed your cats, don’t worry, by some work of magic she suddenly displays the vocal strength and attitude that would put Missy Elliot to shame. Other thing to look forward to is her unwavering patience, to put into perspective, she has had a kitten playfully bite and chase her around the house for the last couple days and not once has she displayed a hint of aggression. During the evening Chickadee likes to snuggle right next to your leg and always looks for a few pets before going to sleep.
A perfect home for Chickadee would be a quiet home without young kids and with a family that have had experience with cats. Chickadee is often frightened by dogs so it would be ideal for her to be in a canine free home.”
Chickadee found her forever home with lovely people!
