Paddy
We rescued Paddy from Hamilton Animal Control where he found himself as a stray. The people who brought Paddy into the shelter told the staff at HAC that he was having some trouble urinating. HAC staff monitored Paddy during his stray time, but he didn’t have any issues at all. We took Paddy straight to the vet where he was neutered and had urine and blood tests done. Absolutely nothing was wrong! Paddy is the picture of health and is as sweet as can be! Now he’s ready to find his forever home.
Here’s a note from Paddy’s foster home:
“Paddy has the cutest face, and an even cuter tail. It is so big and fluffy it is almost bigger than he is.
Paddy is the perfect mix of kitten play and cuddles.
He would love a forever home with lots of action that can keep him busy. He loves cats and dogs and although not kid tested, I think he would love children to play.
Paddy loves to talk. He will let you know when he wants attention and cuddles. The more occupied he is, the less he talks. This is why he needs lots of toys and some friends in his forever home to play with and keep him busy. When he is tired out he will come looking for a lap to snuggle into.
This little guy LOVES to eat. It is so funny watching him gobble his food up. His love for food means that he will eat anyones food he can find. He would do best with fur friends who eat their food in one go, and don’t leave it to graze on all day.
If you are looking for a fun addition to your human and/or fur family Paddy is the one!”
Paddy found his forever home with awesome people!
An update from Paddy’s adopter:
“I have attached pictures of Paddy now named Sydney, it took a while to find his name but Sydney seems to fit him the best. He’s named for the character, Sydney Chambers in the show Grantchester, who also has red hair and is a real charmer lol.
Sydney is settling in really well, getting along well with my Freya who is 10. He is so cuddly and adorable but I think he was feeling the affects of being surrender then being in foster care and then coming to live with me and Freya. I think he was probably wondering where he was going to go next. He has been very affectionate right from the start but I could feel his hesitation to get really close, but that seems to be slowly going away. He has a very strong fascination with water and runs around the tub when I’m taking a shower and is always ready to help me brush my teeth lol But the other day I was running a bath and I think he leaned into the tub too far and fell in, I heard a plop and then he came running leaving a trail of water lol I scooped him up in a towel and put him on my lap and slowly dried him off. It was sort of a moment with us, I could feel him relax as I rubbed his feet and then that night he came up on the couch and laid beside me to get pets. He hadn’t done that before. He was always very cuddly but he won’t come and sit beside me but since the other night he always comes and sits with me when I’m on the couch and is now coming to bed with me. I think he is starting to trust me, that I won’t leave him, that makes me very happy and I think it helps my other cat Freya to accept him more as well.
Thank you so much for rescuing him and allowing him to come into my and Freya’s life. We were both missing our other cats that have past away and he is really helping to fill the gap.
Take care,
Emily”
