Abby
We rescued Abby from Hamilton Animal Control where she was surrendered by her owners. Abby is a sweet and happy little girl, but like a lot of small dogs, she sometimes doesn’t like to be told what to do. She nipped her owners when being scolded, and she ended up at HAC because of it. When we heard the circumstances surrounding the situation, and met Abby in person, we were confident that with some work with a trainer in her foster home, she could still be a wonderful companion for the right people. She definitely adores everyone she meets!
At the vet visit after her rescue, some strange bumps were discovered on Abby’s head. Our vet was stumped as to what they were. After consulting a specialist, our vets recommended removing the lumps and sending them for biopsy, so we got Abby that surgery. There were several clusters of the bumps in different spots on her head, so she looked pretty awful afterwards. She was a trooper for her surgery though, and her foster family are did a great job looking after her while she recovered.
Turns out, the bumps were follicular cysts and they were benign. Yay! After Abby healed up from her surgery and her foster family decided she should stay forever! Now Abby goes on many adventures with her forever family. She’s been to many places and has lots of fun everywhere she goes.
We’re so happy Abby found such a wonderful forever home!
