Motzy
We rescued Motzy and Gouda from a high-kill shelter in Quebec. Big thanks to the Freedom Drivers volunteers for transporting the rats to us!
At their vet visit, it was discovered that Motzy and Gouda had lice, so they were treated with a topical flea treatment that cleared them up.
Motzy is thin and had a small lump on his belly, so he was put on medication. Though it helped him feel a bit better, it became obvious to his foster mom that Motzy was much older than we first suspected, and was showing the signs of being a senior rat. To top it off, Motzy was being bullied by Gouda, so our vets recommended we separate them. Motzy has been hanging in there, but because of his advanced age, we thought it best to make him a permanent resident so he can live out his remaining days in the comfort of his foster home, and under the care of our veterinarians whenever he needs it.
