Trixie
We rescued Trixie from Hamilton Animal Control where she ended up as a stray. Trixie had a cut near her eye that was pretty bad when she first arrived at HAC. Staff there gave her medication and it was looking much better by the time we picked her up.
Trixie is so, so friendly! Never stops purring and seeking attention. Such a lovely little kitten!
When Trixie was at the vet for her spay surgery, the vet couldn’t find a uterus! The vet removed what seemed to be her ovaries and they were sent to a lab to confirm that’s what they are. Apparently this is a rare condition for cats, but not detrimental to their health. We’re waiting for the results to come back from the lab, but our vets told us she’s ready to find her forever home now that she’s healed from the surgery.
Here’s a report from Trixie’s foster home:
“Trixie is an adorable, loveable little lady. Everyone who meets her falls in love and wants to take her home with them.
She LOVES cats and dogs and is looking for a forever home with some young fur friends to play with. I think she would be too bored going to a home where she would be the only pet. Trixie has a lot of energy and plays hard (dive bombs, chases and wrestles) and she likes to join her cat friends in the litter box when they are doing their business. She doesn’t always respect the kitty social cues that her kitty foster friends try to teach her. Since she has such a big kitten personality, Trixie’s will not be a good match for older or timid cats. She will do best in a home with young fur friends that can keep up with her.
Although not kid tested, I think Miss Trixie would have so much fun going to a forever home with some human siblings who will play with her toys with her. Trixie loves to be pet, but does not like to be held and cuddled for long periods of time. She likes to be free in case any fun comes her way!
Trixie is a purr monster. She is always purring, even in her sleep. It is the cutest thing!
If you are looking to add some kitten fun into your life then Trixie is the girl for you.
Please consider giving this sweet girl the fun loving, forever home that she deserves.”
Trixie found her forever home with a lovely person!
We named Trixie after a sweet senior dog of the same name, who was adopted from Ladybird back in 2014 and recently passed away. RIP Trixie dog! We hope this name tribute will keep your memory alive…
