So sad to report that Tiny Tim passed away early this morning. Whatever illness he had contracted was just too much for him and he went peacefully in Jennifer’s arms. We’re thankful that Tim was with Jen when passed, and not in a cage all by himself. Thanks to Jen and to the rest of The Cat Clinic staff for being there for him. Rest in peace little Tim…

A member of the public found Tiny Tim all alone on the street, so they brought him into Hamilton Animal Control. He waited out his stray time, and we lined up a foster home for him where there were other kittens of a similar age for him to be friends with.  Unfortunately, when we went back to the shelter to collect him, he was quite ill. Since that morning, he hadn’t eaten and he had the runs pretty badly. He didn’t look well at all. We knew we couldn’t place him into that foster home any longer as it would be a risk to the other kittens’ health, but we also couldn’t leave him at the shelter. So, we took Tiny Tim to the vet.
They gave Tiny some fluids, and a wonderful staff member offered to take him home for the night to keep him comfortable and to force feed him every few hours. We’re so thankful for this staff member since the clinic is not staffed overnight and Tiny Tim would have been all by himself in a cage again. No fun for a kitten…especially when not feeling well! The staff member will bring Tiny back to the clinic in the morning where he can receive more fluids and have constant care in-clinic.

Tiny Tim is very sick, but we’re hopeful that we got him the help he needed before he was past the point of no return. Please send him your love and well wishes and we’ll be sure to pass on every one to him!
