Abraham
We rescued Glen and Abraham from Hamilton Animal Control. Their owners surrendered them to HAC because of allergies in the family. They’re young and happy piggies and they love each other very much, so they need to be adopted as a pair.
Glen and Abraham are typical guinea pigs, as in they’re not fond of being picked up, but once you have hold of them, they’ll snuggle in for scritches and head pats. They will give a little nibble on your fingers if stressed, so children should be constantly supervised while handling Glen and Abraham.
These guys LOVE timothy hay, and not only enjoy eating it, but they love tunnelling through it as well. They like a daily fruit or veggie snack, and so far their favourites are apple and cucumber.
Guinea pigs need much more room than the typical pet store guinea pig cages offer. Here are some websites that have great examples of the type of cages pigs can live happily in, so that they have lots of room to move around and explore:
