Sasha
We rescued Sasha from Hamilton Animal Control.
Sasha was found hanging by her leg from a plant hook in a homeowner’s backyard. Nobody knows exactly how Sasha ended up in this position, but she likely fell onto the hook somehow. Animal Control was called and they got Sasha to the vet where she was stitched up. Thankfully, the hook only went through skin and didn’t damage any bones or organs.
After her surgery, Sasha was sent to Animal Control to wait out her stray time. Nobody came looking for Sasha, so we rescued her from HAC and took her to our vet. Sasha happily rolled and flopped all over the table while being examined. Even when the vet was taking a close look at her sutures, Sasha was purring and “swimming” with happy feet. Such a sweetheart!
Sasha had a re-check and suture removal appointment and she received a clean bill of health. She’s ready to find her forever home now!
Here’s a note from Sasha’s foster home:
“Sasha came to her foster home recovering from major surgery on her front leg. She spent the first few days sleeping for the most part, rousing only to eat and have some pats. She was however, very affectionate from the start. Over the last few days she has become more active and inquisitive, and her appetite has returned full force. Despite the leg injury she has no trouble jumping up and down from considerable heights to check out her domain. She is quick to come for pats and scratches when called, but rarely initiates, preferring to explore on her own and watch her humans from a dining room chair. She is very quiet with the exception of meal time, which is just too exciting! She has begun to play a bit but so far only mildly interested in chasing toys or the ‘catch the humans fingers’ game. All in all a very chill cat. She handled the vet like a champ and is not opposed to being picked up for a bit to get a cuddle. She is a very pretty cat that would likely fit in nicely in most homes. It is unknown how she handles other cats or children, but has had no difficulty accepting strange adults.”
Sasha has been adopted by lovely people!
