Spanky found his forever home with lovely people!

We rescued Spanky from Hamilton Animal Control. Spanky was surrendered to animal control when his owner moved to a seniors home.
Spanky is a sweet guy. Shy, but he likes to head bonk and purr. We noticed that Spanky was drooling quite a lot, and when we got him to the vet, it was pretty obvious why. Some of his teeth are missing…some are almost falling out and a couple of them are quite rotten. We got him the dental surgery he so desperately needed, and now he’s feeling great, and he’s ready to find his forever home!
Spanky would do best as the only cat in the home. He seems to be fine with calm dogs.

Here’s a note from Spanky’s foster home:
“When Spanky first came to stay with us he was very nervous. He spent his first day under the bed. As soon as the house was quiet that night and I had gotten into bed with my book he came right out and jumped up looking for love! He LOVES people and his favourite time is bed time! He loves to get his cheeks rubbed and his bum scratched and can’t get enough pets. When I tell him petting time is over he curls up next to me and lies his head on my arm and gazes up at me. He likes to sleep in the bed and prefers to sleep in the little spoon position, snuggled right up! He is so excited when we get home and talks to me as soon as I walk in the room, making little meows and rubbing up on anything in sight- walls, laundry hampers, you name it! He even comes running over when I call his name!
Even though he is 6 years old he still loves to play! He loves catnip toys and toys that jingle. When he’s excited he will go racing around the room! He loves wet food and would like a family who is willing to give him some for a treat every day.
He’s a wonderful and extremely loving boy who needs a little patience and a little extra love!”
