Sushi
Sushi was rescued from Hamilton Animal Control where she was brought in as a stray. She’s a shy, but sweet girl…very gentle and loving.
We had Sushi spayed and she’s now ready to start the next chapter of her life with a new adventure!
Here’s a note from Sushi’s foster home:
“Best cat ever. There’s nothing fishy about it, Sushi (aka Katy Purry) is a true lady. She has impeccable manners and is very gentle. She’s not crazy fussy about being picked up and carried around as she prefers getting around on her own four feet but she adores attention and will happily make a bed, even a vertical one, out of a chest or lap for as long as you’ll allow. Loud noises and visitors will startle her a bit but she knows the good hiding spots and will retreat there until she feels it’s safe to come out, which doesn’t generally take long. She is quite inquisitive and has to check out everything, from a newly opened closet or drawer. She doesn’t seem to mind being by herself, as I’ll often come home from work and find her napping on a chair. I can’t say how she is with other cats, as I don’t have any, but she has the run of the house with a dog. I don’t know that they’ll ever become snuggle buddies but they co-exist just fine in the same room without incident. Sushi/Katy doesn’t much appreciate getting whacked in the face with a wagging dog tail but she’ll only excuse herself from the situation and doesn’t hiss/swat or do anything to the offending dog. She has never hissed or swatted at me once, and is very careful with her claws even when playing or reaching out. She hasn’t scratched at any furniture, will play with a feather on a string toy if you dangle it for her, has been faithfully using the litter without any issues and except for the odd chatter is quiet as a mouse. She is a pleasure to have as a foster cat and is absolutely no trouble at all. She has really come out of her shell and made herself right at home.
Likes: kneading, chests/laps to lay on, warm breezes (she sits in front of the furnace vents when they turn on), heights (she likes to perch on tall dressers, the tops of kitchen cupboards, window ledges), scratches under the chin, investigating, snoozing in the sun, head rubs.
Dislikes: none really.”
Sushi’s foster mom decided she should be Sushi’s forever mom! Congrats on being adopted Sushi!
