Metro
* Metro found his forever home with lovely people! *
Hamilton Animal Control were called when a member of the public discovered a cat in a reusable grocery bag, abandoned in an underground parking lot. It’s not known how long Metro had been in the garage, nor why someone would choose to abandon him in this way, but we’re glad he ended up at Animal Control and did not suffer a worse fate.
We were happy to rescue Metro from HAC when his stray time was done, and we took him to the vet for a check-up and to be neutered. Metro healed perfectly from his surgery, he is now looking for his forever home. Metro is not a fan of being picked up, but he’s so very sweet! And, as you can see from the video, he really likes catnip! He would do best in a home with cats close to his age as he can be a little too rambunctious for the senior cats in his foster home.
May 2017 Update from Metro’s forever home:
“Just thought I would share this picture with you of Tango (Metro) with his two Burlington Humane Society alumni brothers, Charlie and Oscar.
As you can see, he is part if the family now. ( in case you can’t tell him apart from Oscar – they look very similar) Tango is behind Charlie (more white than black cat).”
Tuxedo party! Yay Metro/Tango!
