Jefferson
* Jefferson and Grace found their forever home with a lovely family! *
Jefferson was surrendered to Hamilton Animal Control by his owners because they had “no time” for him.
Sadly, it seems he had not been properly fed in his previous home as he was emaciated and skeletal thin at the time of his surrender. As well, his nails were overgrown and the fur on his hind end was matted and severely urine stained. Despite his condition, Jefferson was extremely friendly with everyone he met and was always happy for attention and head pats.
During the couple of weeks Jefferson spent at HAC, he gained some weight back, and thankfully it seems that he hasn’t suffered any ill effects of being so thin.
We rescued Jefferson from HAC and took him to the vet for a check-up and to be neutered. Jefferson settled in nicely to his foster home and has been successfully bonded with Grace! They’re the best of friends now, so we’re asking they be adopted as a pair.
Here’s a note from Grace and Jefferson’s foster home:
“Jefferson (Jeff) is quite the character! He loves attention, cuddles and scratches behind the ears. Jeff has lots of energy, is affectionate, and is always eager to be held and to meet new people. He has a great appetite and loves to play with his toys. He adjusted quickly and well to our busy household, including another bunny, Grace, two cats and our children. Grace (Gracie) is a sweet girl who holds her own with Jefferson. She is small but mighty! Gracie is affectionate and loves to be held and to snuggle. She and Jeff love to play together with their toys, then curl up together for a nap. Gracie also adjusted quickly and well to our busy home. Jeff and Gracie and would fit right in to any household.”
