Buster
* Buster was adopted by Kylie, owner of The Brow Room in Hamilton. Buster is living the most spoiled life any dog could. We’re so happy for him! Stop by the shop and say hello to Buster and get your brows did! *
Hamilton Animal Control picked Buster up as a stray. He was in pretty rough shape; matted, covered in fleas, ear and eye infections, dental disease, open sores on his legs and tail… Buster was just a mess. Because of his terrible condition, the animal control officer who picked Buster up took him straight to the vet. There, he was shaved down and given basic treatment to alleviate his discomfort. He was then taken to the shelter. Buster’s owner’s family were notified he was at the shelter, but it turns out his owner was in the hospital. A family member came into HAC a few days later to officially surrender Buster, and we rescued him from the shelter shortly after.
Buster is an extremely happy and friendly dog! When we got to the vet clinic, he ran right up to the vet and gave him hugs! Adorable! During his dental surgery, he had seven extractions! Poor guy. His mouth must have been causing him a lot of pain for a long time…
He was quite itchy, so he was put on medication and a special diet to help with that. Unfortunately, Buster had to wear the dreaded cone to keep him from making his existing sores worse.
Buster settled in well in his foster home and with the medication and special diet, his skin cleared up and the itching stopped within a few weeks. His foster mom fell head over heals with Buster and decided that he had found his forever home with her. We are so happy Buster will be safe and loved for the rest of his days. Yay Buster!
If you stop by The Brow Room in Hamilton, you will likely find Buster there helping his mom at work. Buster is an excellent salon dog, and he’s an expert on eyebrows now!
