Dexter
* Dexter found his forever home with lovely people! *
Dexter was brought into Hamilton Animal Control as a stray. He was initially very shy, but after a few days in the shelter, he became a staff favourite. He’s such a lovely boy!
We were happy to rescue Dexter when a foster home opened up for him. His vet check and neuter went wonderfully, and he’s now ready to find his forever home!
Here’s a note from Dexter (translated from cat-speak by his loving foster home):
“Hello everyone, allow me to introduce myself!
My name is DEXTER! I am a kitten.
The name Dexter means: dexterous and favourable. I am those indeed. As you can tell from my photos, I am a very beautiful kitten. My fur is very soft and luxurious. I love to be pet and cuddled. When I am ready to be put back down, I will let you know very gently. As you can also see, my colouring is amazing and you could use my eyes as a model for the perfect cat eye. I am told that I have a very cute miew. I don’t know if I will grow very big, but I am a lovely long tailed fellow!
I love to play! I play with my foster felines and canines. They can get annoyed as I have a lot of energy! Sometimes it sounds as if we are pretending to be elephants running up and down the stairs. I am helping to get the other felines in better shape. I love to chase balls (sometimes purloined from my foster canine), laser points (for which I have commended for my Olympian endeavours), box (in and out of the box), string, ribbon, or anything that I may chase.
I also love to sleep. You can find me enjoying this hobby throughout the house. But I come when you call me.
Food is a favourite activity. I have my special place and I don’t steal food from foster pets.
I would love a home where I could be the centre of your attention (you would be rewarded with much cuddling and adoring kitty gazing) or with another cat who might be lonely.
I am very easy to love!”
