Willy
* Willy found his forever home with a lovely family! *
Willy came into Hamilton Animal Control as a stray. We are shocked that nobody came forward to claim him since he’s such a friendly boy. We got Willy a dental cleaning and had him neutered, and now he’s ready start the journey to find his forever home!
Here’s a note from Willy’s foster home:
“Likes: pools, baths, toys, tennis balls, people, walks, fetch, car rides, food, dogs
Dislikes: being left alone
Are you looking for a talented, veteran short-stop for your team?? Then Willy is your guy!! A typical goofy lab—a magnet for anything water, OCD when it comes to balls, a healthy appetite and he wants to make friends with everyone he meets. He may be middle-aged but he’s no couch potato—he’s still got plenty of spunk and is a very busy boy!! He would be happy with someone that will give him long walks and games of fetch to wear him out. Willy doesn’t seem to care who throws the ball for him—-as long as someone does!! Continuously….for hours. He’s an awesome catch. The Great Outdoors is one of Willy’s favourite things—if you’ve got a securely fenced backyard he can claim as his own, he’ll keep it clear of rabbits for you. His manners may not be perfect quite yet, but he’s been working on them and is eager enough to learn. Willy doesn’t like being left alone and can be a talker when this happens. He gets rewarded when he’s alone and quiet and is making huge improvements every day. Still, someone that would be home a lot and doesn’t have close neighbours to disturb would be his ideal home situation. The good news is that he loves to be the sidekick for any adventure. A routine has really helped him relax and in a short time he has learned to settle down inside. He doesn’t want to miss any of the action though, so he keeps a close eye on things and is ready to go when you are. Willy would make a loveable, easy-going companion if you don’t mind a bit of dog slobber!”
